Traveling In northern Greece we will walk into the depths of wild nature with enchanting views of mountains, forests up to – where the last bears, wolves, cougars and otters of mountainous Greece live. Winding rivers, sparkling lakes, meteor cliffs and hanging monasteries, we will get to know the unique culture and hospitable population of northern Greece including the Tzoumarka region that I personally describe as the “Himalayas of Greece”, visit impressive historical sites, and pay homage to its rich historical heritage.

Morning flight to Athens lands in Athens at 09:00-11:00
We will get organized with our luggage and get on our tourist bus and start our trip west towards the town of Loutraki. As early as 3000 years ago the Greeks found this lovely corner with hot thermal springs emanating from the earth in favor of a spa and healing.
We will tour the archeological site next to the sea with a charming view and we will even get to dip in the warm and special sea water. After the awakening experience we will continue to the ancient town of Corinth and stop for an amazing view of the Corinth Canal with a lot of history including a connection to 5000 Jews who were exiled by the Romans from the land to carve the canal. From there we will continue west and cross the Rio Ontario bridge one of the largest and most impressive bridges in Greece. We will drive towards the city of Arta and cut and climb to the mountainous part towards the southern ridges of the Tzoumerka region to the quiet and beautiful village of Vourgareli.

Familiarity with the village of Vourgareli where we live sitting in the heart of a nature reserve, a guided morning walking tour. The village of Vourgareli captures in its landscape and authenticity, the location of the village in the heart of nature with easy and comfortable hiking trails. The Epirus area is famous for its special bridges, here in the village of Vourgareli we will visit some arched stone bridges, tasted of the healthy water directly from the springs. We will walk through the square paved with local stone following the sound of the flow of water that will lead us to one of the wonders of the beauty of the place fountains built of stone “Archonto” and “Cristello”. Tradition holds that whoever drinks water from these fountains is destined to get married in a wrestling match! We will stop instead for good thoughts and reflections and share with the locals and try to learn from them the truth about these fountains.
A walk in the wild to the “Paradise” stream in the village of Theodoriana, the water capital of Tzoumerka.
A fascinating journey begins from our beautiful village of Vourgareli that will leave us amazed. Wonderful and magical corners of “Mother Nature” are scattered throughout the Tzoumerka area. One of them that is not even known to some of the locals, is the “Rama Signs”. Also known as the “Paradise” stream, it is a place of rare and wild beauty, with small waterfalls that create clear water pools, a breathtaking view and during the summer months it is mandatory to dive into the cold water. A unique landscape that confuses the senses and leaves us with a lot of food for thought. We will conduct a light meditation activity on the spot and gain important insights for a better life.
We will visit the natural mineral water bottling plant straight from the nature of the “kostilata” area.
Kostilata’s springs was established in 2007 and since 2011 it has been dedicated to bottling and distributing natural mineral water. At an altitude of 1450 m, in a pristine mountainous landscape that is not completely affected by human intervention, the natural mineral water “kostilata Springs” emerges on the ground and is bottled right on the spot. While applying the highest quality standards at all stages of bottling and distribution, the company strives to offer a high quality product that can compete with the leading waters in Europe.
Through 16 kilometers of dense forests and unique scenery, we will reach the village of Theodoriana which is at an altitude of 1,000 meters. A village known as the “Water Capital” for the region of Tzoumerka since it is one of the richest villages in Greece in its natural water sources. Its traditional beauty in the Epirus area along with its countless water springs make the village of Theodoriana truly unique. This beauty culminates in the double waterfalls of Souda, of the Asperi Goura River. Spectacular and breathtaking view,
The water falls from a height of 25 meters and at an intensity of about 800 cubic meters per hour, making the soda one of the most impressive waterfalls in Greece.
Another hidden gem that for many is surprising, is Acheloos Beach! Mountain vacations usually link nature, traditional villages and unique trails … not beaches. The Acheloos River, the second longest Greek river hides quite a few surprises that make the Tzoumerka area an ideal destination even for summer. The view will captivate you and the first dive will make this short trip worthwhile.
The beach is nestled under the impressive 60s suspension bridge and is an idyllic and unspoiled virgin setting tucked away in the dense forest, with crystal water, mud baths and a natural spa.

Welcome to North Greece to the Wild Mountains
A day full of nature, beauty and adventure. The fascinating Tzoumarka region “Himalayas of Greece” We will travel in a wild landscape surrounded by evergreen forests, cross streams, waterfalls, visit isolated villages where time has stood still and get to know the wonderful and hospitable culture and people of Tzoumarka region of northern Greece.
The jeep tour starts from the village of Vourgareli and by way of an off-road road we will reach the village of Katarraktis at an altitude of 1,360 m. Admire the impressive twin waterfalls at 87 m and 100 m respectively. The next stop is at Anemotrypa Cave, the only cave in Greece that crosses the river along its entire length. It is considered the whitest cave in Greece, as it hosts clean limestone. From there we will continue to Kipina Monastery, one of the most impressive in Epirus, built in 1212 AD it is built in the heart of nature inside a steep cliff a very impressive structure with amazing views and breathtaking location. Close to the monastery is a traditional mountain settlement ‘Kalarrites’. It is built on the edge of the steep gorge that ends at the Clarkiticus River at an altitude of 1200 meters. We will walk the old and traditional paths inside the village and then through an easy walk we will visit a magical place that leads to beautiful pools and waterfalls called “Kuyasa”.
We will continue our jeep trip on one of the most beautiful and special routes in the alpine crossing to reach the “Baros” crossing. Barros is probably the highest road in Greece 1904 m that can be traveled comfortably and safely. From the same point there is a unique view to the peaks of Priestri (2.294 m) and Kakarditsa (2.429 m).
We will then descend to a cliff village at an altitude of 1,100 meters to return to our hotel.

vious trip experiences, you will get up early in the morning as locals and workers do when they go for the olive harvest.
That means at 8 am you will check out of your hotel and be driven to the farm again for a full day in the olive orchard including breaks, picnic lunch.
Harvesting finishes before it gets dark around 4pm and you will be transferred to a local olive mill to see the procedure of olive oil making , & of course to taste the hot fresh olive juice (oil)! Direct from the machines to your glass! It also well-known with the name green Gold!
Your reward for a day of hard work is a fireside delicious homemade dinner cooked by local housewife. Dinner at home!

After this full day you will be transferred to an eco village with only 24 residents. You are going to experience a different accommodation. Village houses with wooden stoves, that are renovated, that belong to locals, who are staying in nearby cities. Picture also this; a hidden village surrounded by mountains, with rich vegetation, watermills, fountains, fresh air and completely quite. With no cars only sounds of nature. Digital detox 100 %, no TV, no WIFI.

After breakfast we will say goodbye to our lovely hosts and go on a trip to the beautiful city of Ioannina, the capital of the region of Epirus, we will take a walking tour of the city and enjoy one of the cafes in the place. We will take a boat trip on the picturesque lake that kisses the city and visit a small village sitting on an island in the middle of the lake.
We will continue from the beautiful city to the villages of Central Zagoria and take a tour between the bridges built of local stone including walking on the ancient stone roads to one of the picturesque villages of the Zagoria region.
We will end the day with an amazing view of Vikos Gorge the deepest in Europe with an enchanting and breathtaking view.

Papigo – Voidomatis Springs – An experiential nature trip from Papigo to the village of Vikos.
After breakfast at the hotel we will set out for nature activities (half a day): a Hiking trip from the village of Papigo to the Voidomatis springs and the village of Vikos. This is a 5-hour easy nature and health hiking trip, with stunning panoramic views of the Vidomatis and Vikos gorge. We will reach the springs of Voidomatis, where we will enjoy a picnic lunch, a meditation activity for mind and body and we will end the trip in the village of Vikos.

After breakfast at the hotel we will greet our hosts and thank them for the special and warm hospitality.
We will start with a trip to the Vllachian town of Metsovo – “Switzerland of Greece” and we will take a tour of the picturesque village known for the quality cheeses that are produced there. We will sit in the square with the elders of the village and try to connect to the special atmosphere of the place. Coffee or two and we will continue on our way towards the meteora monasteries “Wonders of the World” gray and vertical rock pillars that rise to heights of 300-600 meters. These pillars kiss the northern end of the town of Kalambaka and blend in with it while inspiring a “mystical” atmosphere full of interest and admiration. We will take a tour of the monasteries and be impressed by the power and energy of the place. We will take a deep breath and a good look at one of the most beautiful natural phenomena in the world.
And with the special and good energies we have accumulated in this special place, we will continue our journey towards Delphi the spiritual and religious center of ancient Greece and the seat of the oracle-fortune-teller in antiquity. We arrived at the center of the world, according to ancient Greek belief, here landed the eagles that Zeus sent to find the navel of the world. We will drive on a beautiful nature trail at the foot of Mount Parnassus one of the ski resorts in Greece and reach our hotel which sits in the heart of the Mount Parnassos Nature Reserve.
This is an inspiring nature trip, back to the ancient period of Greece. A pleasant walk from the slopes of Mount Parnassos to the village of Delphi. It is the traditional and ancient footpath that took worshipers in ancient times to the temples of Delphi to celebrate ceremonies and is part of the European E4 Trail. Our hike begins on a Livadi plateau at an altitude of 1200 meters. Following the ancient path on a wooded trail we descend to the Delphi Temple overlooking the Valley of the Olive Trees and the Corinthian Bay, the Peloponnese Mountains complete our picturesque landscape. At the end of our trip we will enjoy a traditional picnic with local products.
This trip combines the magic of nature with the mystery of ancient temples! With the blowing spirit of Greek Mythology.
We will end our special trip in the picturesque town of Arachova, alleys, cafes, taverns, boutique shops from local products and all this in the special atmosphere of the Delphi area.

After breakfast at our charming hotel we will say goodbye to the hotel owners and staff and drive towards Athens to the airport back to our country.
